Georgia's Ministry of Public Health recognizes 457 Tbilisi residents as flooding victims
In total, 457 people, including 119 children, have been registered by the Ministry of Public Health as victims of the flooding in Tbilisi. Three persons are still considered missing.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on June 14 Tbilisi was affected by a heavy rain, which led to flooding. According to official sources, 19 people perished.
The restoration of the city and bank reinforcement works are supervised by a special interdepartmental commission. On June 18, the National Council for Security and Crisis Management released the data of the Georgia's Ministry of Public Health about the number of citizens who had received medical care.
"As a result of registering the population suffered from the disaster, the Ministry of Public Health has recorded 106 families, consisting of 457 people in all, including 119 children, 56 elderly ones, and five pregnant women," the Sputnik-Georgia quotes the Ministry.
Let us add here that the 19th casualty of the flooding was found at night on June 18 – the body of a girl was found at clearing obstructions in the Tbilisi Zoo.
