In Alagir, 958 poisoned people seek medical help

In North Ossetia, 132 people stay in hospitals after poisoning with tap water, and other people continue to seek medical help. According to the Ministry of Health of North Ossetia, the total number of the people, who sought medical help, reached 958 persons, including 632 adults and 326 children.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the mass poisoning of people occurred in the North Ossetian town of Alagir. The victims were diagnosed as infected with norovirus and dysentery pathogens. According to the preliminary information, the poisoning was caused by infection, which got to the city water pipeline. In total, in the period of June 9-11, 680 people sought medical help in the Alagir District.

According to Taimuraz Revazov, the acting Minister of Health of North Ossetia, all medical centres are fully provided with medicines.

Let us remind you that after the case of the mass poisoning, builders have started to construct in the town of Alagir a facility for decontamination of water, which is to be launched on June 17. On June 13, it became known that Arthur Barakov, the head of the Alagir District, resigned from his post.
