MCC leaves Tamerlan Eskerkhanov under arrest

The appeal concerning the change of the pre-trial restriction measure filed by the defence of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, involved in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, has been dismissed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 24, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow granted the investigators' motion and extended the arrest of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov until August 28. The defence of the defendant has filed an appeal to the Moscow City Court.

According to advocate Roza Magomedova, the main reasons specified in the appeal are "medical records, in particular, recommended urgent surgery, and absence of evidence of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov's involvement in the crime."

Tamerlan Eskerkhanov himself, who took part at the trial via video conference, claimed he was not going to hide from the trial.

Let us remind you that today the Moscow City Court (MCC) has also dismissed the appeal to invalidate the decision of the Basmanny Court of Moscow, which extended until August 28 the detention in custody of Khamzat Bakhaev, one more person involved in the case.
