KBR's Prosecutor's Office apologizes to Biaslan Djaboev's father

The Prosecutor's Office of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) has brought official apologies for the caused moral harm to Sergo Djaboev, whose murdered son Biaslan was acquitted on charges of involvement in the armed underground.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Biaslan Djaboev, a resident of the village of Belaya Rechka (White River) was shot dead by power agents in February 2012. In September 2014, the Supreme Court of the KBR acquitted him from charges of belonging to militants. The Prosecutor's Office appealed against the decision, but in January 2015, the Russia's Supreme Court left it unchanged.

Today, Sergo Djaboev received an official apology for the moral harm suffered in connection with the prosecution of his son, the lawyer Tatiana Psomiadi told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"You have the right to claim compensation for moral harm in monetary terms," says the letter.

Let us remind you that at the demand of Djaboev's relatives, who refused to believe the version of his involvement in the armed underground, the inquiry into his case continued, despite his death. One of the witnesses stated that he had evidenced under pressure.
