Relatives of Kharachi resident report on his kidnapping
Akhmed Kutbudinov, a resident of the village of Kharachi of the Untsukul District, was kidnapped in Makhachkala by men in black uniforms. This was reported by relatives of the kidnapped man, who appealed for legal aid to the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".
Today, at 2:30 p.m., Akhmed Kutbudinov was kidnapped by unidentified men, who forced him into their car and drove him away to some unknown destination. The kidnapping took place near the diagnostic centre in Makhachkala, where Akhmed Kutbudinov arrived for medical examination of his daughter. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Patimat Abduraeva, the wife of the kidnapped man.
According to the rights defenders, Adam Magomedov, a cousin of Akhmed Kutbudinov, has filed to the HRC "Memorial" the complaint about the kidnapping of his relative. "According to Adam Magomedov, his kidnapped cousin professed the Salafi trend of Islam and was registered at the police station. In 2014, Akhmed Kutbudinov was detained by the police. According to the law enforcers, he rendered resistance during his detention. Later, he was sentenced for rendering resistance to six months of imprisonment. In May 2015, Akhmed Kutbudinov was released," notes the press release issued by the rights defenders.
In its release, the HRC "Memorial" also reports that Adam Magomedov associates the kidnapping of his cousin "with the special operation, which is underway in the village of Kharachi."
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, the Untsukul District of Dagestan is under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. A local resident has reported that law enforcers cordoned off the village of Kharachi. Meanwhile, according to local residents, law enforcers shelled two houses and the village mosque.
