Two suspected militants helpers detained in Chechnya

Two residents of the Nadterechny District of Chechnya have been detained on suspicion of aiding and abetting members of the armed underground. This was reported by an official of the law enforcement agencies of the Chechen Republic.

"On June 2, a special operation was conducted in the village of Bratskoe of the Nadterechny District. Law enforcers identified and detained two local residents, who rendered assistance to militants," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a staff member of the Chechen law enforcement agencies.

According to the source, the eldest of the detainees is 31 years old, and the youngest is 25 years old.

"In 2013, they rendered assistance to members of the armed underground by financing them and purchasing military equipment for them. During the interrogation, both of the detainees admitted their guilt. At present, they are under recognizance not to leave, and the question of opening a criminal case is under consideration," the law enforcer has clarified.

Let us remind you that on May 28, in the Nadterechny District of Chechnya, law enforcers also detained two young men, who were suspected of aiding and abetting members of the armed underground.
