Askandarov's advocate again fails to see him
The defender Ruslan Chupanov, who is representing the interests of Kurban Askandarov, the detained Deputy Imam of a Makhachkala mosque, has stated a non-admission to his client for two days.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Askandarov's detention on May 27 was announced by the congregation of the mosque located in Kotrov Street in Makhachkala, where he served as Deputy Imam.
"Despite the fact that at 4:00 p.m. (on May 28, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") submitted an advocate's order and an application to the name of the head of the Sovietskiy ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala about my entrance into the case, I was not allowed to meet Askandarov under the argument that the investigator, who keeps the case files, had been on duty the day before, and was sleeping today," the edition named "Chernovik" quotes Ruslan Chupanov as saying.
Today, the advocate also said that he could not visit Askandarov, because, as "policemen claimed, the investigator in charge of the case was not at his workplace".
Today it became known that the court granted the investigators' petition and arrested Kurban Askandarov for 72 hours, his other advocate Rashid Jafarov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. Like Chupanov earlier, Jafarov was not admitted to see the defendant.
