In Darya Polyudova's case, investigators appoint new examination of her posts on Internet
In the case against Krasnodar activist Darya Polyudova, the investigators have appointed the examination of her statements and posts on the Internet. Andrei Sabinin, an advocate of the Krasnodar activist, believes that the investigators apply such measures to prevent the collapse of the main criminal case.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Darya Polyudova, one of the organizers of the failed march for federalization Kuban, who earlier used to be a member of several opposition movements, including the "Left-Wing Front", is accused of calling for extremist activity and disintegration of Russia.
In particular, the investigators are going to check the statements written by Darya Polyudova on the social network "VKontakte" for the presence in them of constituent elements of offence under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement to hatred).
The activist's advocate believes "the experts will still find such signs, since all the questions are compiled in an accusatory manner". "It seems that the investigators want to bring Darya to the court at least under this article," the advocate has noted.
In his turn, Alexander Verkhovsky, the head of the "Sova" centre, who is engaged in the monitoring of the use of the anti-extremist legislation, has expressed the opinion that since "in the case against Darya Polyudova, the materials contain no signs of separatism and since in fact, the investigators have failed to prove whether the activist spoke for the separation of the Krasnodar Territory", the chances to bring the case with the new charges to the court are insignificant.
