Court finds Dagestani resident guilty of aiding and abetting militants

Gusein Abdulkadyrov, a resident of the village of Shaitli of the Tsuntin District, has been sentenced to 2 years and 4 months of imprisonment on charges of aiding and abetting members of illegal armed formations (IAFs).

According to the court, in the period from September 2011 to November 2013, Gusein Abdulkadyrov supplied members of the IAF, operating in the territory of the Tsuntin District, with food and transported them in his car, the press service of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office reports.

The Tlyarata District Court has sentenced the defendant to 2 years and 4 months of imprisonment in a common-security penal colony with a restriction of freedom for a period of six months, the press service of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 3, in Dagestan, the Tlyarata District Court sentenced M. Kurachev, a resident of the Shaitli, who was accused of involvement in illegal armed formations, to 5 years of imprisonment in a penal colony.
