Law enforcers detain three women in Dagestan, eyewitness reports
In Makhachkala, law enforcers carried out a search in an apartment building and took three women away with them. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a local woman.
According to the woman, at about 11:00 a.m., the apartment house in No. 47 in Nikolaev Street in Makhachkala was cordoned off by law enforcers. "The house was cordoned off by policemen and staff members of another agency, who were in masks, armed, and in camouflage. They carried out a search in one of the apartments. Neighbours say they have found a 'shahid belt'. At 12:00 a.m., the law enforcers brought three women out of the apartment," the eyewitness has said.
The search took place in the apartment of Raikhan Sheikhova, who lived in the house No. 47 in Nikolaev Street, a widow of Bammatkhan Sheikhov, one of the leaders of Dagestani militants, who was killed in 2013. This was reported by her daughter Shuanat Sheikhova. According to the woman, the law enforcers also detained Asiya Magomedova and Rumiya Gadjieva, who were visiting her mother.
According to Shuanat Sheikhova, her apartment in No. 74 in Akushinsky Avenue was also searched. Meanwhile, shortly before the incident, Shuanat Sheikhova and her mother were brought to the police station and fingerprinted. "Neither me nor my mother were ever engaged in anything illegal," Shuanat Sheikhova states.
