Head of Novokubansk District offered to resign
Veniamin Kondratiev, the Acting Governor of Kuban, has offered Roman Arkhipov, the head of the Novokubansk District, to resign voluntarily. Roman Arkhipov has been involved in the case of abuse of power.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 12, the Russian Prosecutor's Office reported the results of the inspection, which found out in the Novokubansk District of the Krasnodar Territory violations of the law concerning the disposal of municipal land plots. In particular, the inspection revealed the cases when the head of the district administration made illegal decisions on allocating land plots as "undervalued, including in favour of affiliated persons." A criminal case has been instituted against Roman Arkhipov.
The situation in the Novokubansk District has been discussed at the today's meeting held in the Kanev District of Kuban, devoted to the issues of the development of agricultural sector and land use. In recent years, according to Vladimir Svezhenets, the Acting Vice-Governor, the Novokubansk District occupies one of the lowest places on the rating on socio-economic indicators, the press service of the head of the Krasnodar Territory administration reports.
The head of the Novokubansk District has claimed he does not agree with the conclusions made by the Russian Prosecutor's Office. Veniamin Kondratiev, the Acting Governor of Kuban, has treated the Roman Arkhipov's claims as "excuses."
Let us remind you that Roman Arkhipov was elected the head of the Novokubansk District at the elections of September 14, 2014, when he gained 84.14% of votes.
