Funeral of murdered policeman held in Dagestani village of Tsebari

Today, in the village of Tsebari of the Tsuntin District of Dagestan, several hundred people have attended the funeral of the policeman murdered on the Makhachkala-Buynaksk road.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 18, a policeman with gunshot wounds was found at the fifth kilometre of the Makhachkala-Buynaksk road. He was brought to the hospital, where the man died.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan, the killed man was an OMON (riot police) fighter of the MIA for the Tsuntin District of Dagestan.

At present, according to a source in the law enforcement bodies, investigators have no information about the reasons for the murder.

The killed Israel Akhmedov was a native of the village of Tsebari of the Tsuntin District. This was reported by Magomed Magomedov, who was acquainted with the killed policeman. According to Magomed Magomedov, Israel Akhmedov recently married, and his wife was pregnant.
