Arsen Gadjibekov's brother confirms threats voiced by Said Amirov against Arsen

Ruslan Gadjibekov, the victim in the case against Said Amirov, the former Mayor of Makhachkala, has claimed at the trial that he remembers the defendant's threats voiced against his brother, investigator Arsen Gadjibekov, who was killed in Dagestan.

Today, the North-Caucasian District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don has continued the consideration of the case against Said Amirov, his nephew Yusup Djaparov, and other six persons accused of organizing the murder of investigator Arsen Gadjibekov, involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF), banditry, terrorism, and arms trafficking.

Earlier, Said Amirov has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment on charges of plotting a terror act. Yusup Djaparov was sentenced to 8.5 years of imprisonment in the same case.

At the trial, the Court has questioned by videoconference victim Ruslan Gadjibekov, the older brother of murdered investigator Arsen Gadjibekov. Ruslan Gadjibekov is serving in prison his sentence for another case.

Ruslan Gadjibekov has stated that he remembers very well Said Amirov's threats voiced by phone against his brother.

It should be noted that on May 12, Said Amirov said that the testimonies of the defendants in the case of the murder of investigator Arsen Gadjibekov were obtained under torture. A similar statement was also made by advocate Dmitry Khoroshilov.
