Resident of Dagestan detained on suspicion of aiding and abetting militants

The police have detained a resident of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan on suspicion of aiding and abetting members of the armed underground.

According to the police information, a resident of the village of Novo-Gagatli provided assistance to a member of illegal armed formations (IAFs), who was killed during a special operation held several months ago.

Today, during the search of the house of the suspect, law enforcers seized a Kalashnikov submachine gun with full magazine. The house owner is detained, the website of the Chief Department for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

The issue of opening a criminal case is under consideration.
