Brother of Umar al-Shishani does not confirm information of his death

Idilkhan Batirashvili, a cousin of Tarkhan Batirashvili, also known as Umar al-Shishani, a field commander of the organization "Islamic State" recognized as terrorist, has refused to confirm the information about his murder.

On May 2, the agency "Alforat" disseminated the information about the murder in Northern Iraq of Umar al-Shishani, a field commander of the organization "Islamic State" recognized as terrorist.

According to Idilkhan Batirashvili, a cousin of Tarkhan Batirashvili, the information about his murder is "untrue", and it "should be re-checked." However, Idilkhan Batirashvili has refused to provide any evidence that his brother is alive.

According to the agency "Alforat", al-Shishani was killed in the province of Saladin during the operation carried out by the Iraqi army. Al-Shishani was in charge for organization and militant attack on an oil refinery in Baiji located in the province of Saladin, the "TASS" reports.

On November 13, 2014, Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in his blog on Instagram that "Tarkhan Batirashvili, an enemy of Islam, who called himself Omar al-Shishani, was killed." Later, a page with the message about the death of Tarkhan Batirashvili has been removed from the Ramzan Kadyrov's Instagram page. According to the calculations made by the "Caucasian Knot", the information about the death of Tarkhan Batirashvili has become the fifth report of the sources on the murder of a leader of the "Islamic State" since February of 2013.
