In Dagestan, five nominees granted "Golden Eagle" Award

On April 29, the Union of Journalists of Dagestan granted the "Golden Eagle" Award to four journalists and one creative team for their activities in 2014.

The creative contest "Golden Eagle" has been held annually in Dagestan since 2004. The award goes to an author of the best material or a series of materials characterized by "high civil position and journalistic skills."

Makhachkala hosted the ceremony for awarding the journalists.

This year, the awards went to Magomed Gyuseinov, an editor of the national broadcasting of the Republican State Broadcasting Company (RSBC) "Dagestan", for the project "Man and the Law" and Fatakh Kurbanov, a journalist of the RSBC "Dagestan", for the documentary film "Dagestani Shore of Russia".

Kavsarat Suleimanova, an editor of the Science and Education Department of the Avar-language newspaper "Khakikat", has been granted the award for her contribution to the preservation of native languages, and journalist Khatima Nisredova for her contribution to the preservation and promotion of the ancient culture of the peoples of Dagestan (the book "The Mystery of Amuzgin Dagger"). The Information Department of the newspaper "Dagestanskaya Pravda" was awarded for updated coverage of social, political and economic problems of the region.
