Leader of "Mekhk-Khel" reports detention of his son in Ingushetia

Akhmed-Bashir Aushev, a co-chairman of the Supreme Board of the Ingush public movement "Mekhk-Khel", has reported detention of his son. According to his version, the young man was beaten up.

The detention of Khavazh-Bagaudin Aushev, a 28-year-old resident of the village of Nasyr-Kort of the Nazran District, occurred in the evening on April 24 in this village, located at the junction with the Federal Highway Baku-Rostov.

"Our relative has a small shop there, selling automobile spare parts. In the evening, the guys came into the shop. Suddenly, several policemen broke in, grasped Khavazh-Bagaudin, shoved him into a car and drove away, giving no explanations and presenting no charges against my son," Akhmed-Bashir Aushev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Asya Tumgoeva, his son's advocate, said that law enforcers rejected her demands to meet her client. "I was told that my demands can't be met, because they didn't know the whereabouts of Khavazh-Bagaudin Aushev. On condition of anonymity, one of investigators told me that they were going to extradite my client to Samara. Supposedly, he had been announced wanted in that region," the advocate told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
