Tamerlan Eskerkhanov's advocate to challenge extension of his client's arrest

The decision on the extension of the arrest of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov will be challenged. This was announced by advocate Roza Magomedova.

Boris Nemtsov was shot and killed in Moscow on February 27. Five persons, including Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, were detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder and put under arrest.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 24, in Moscow, during the court session held to consider the issue on the extension of the Tamerlan Eskerkhanov's arrest, an ambulance was called for the defendant. Physicians presented a certificate that the defendant in Boris Nemtsov murder case was able to attend the court session. The defence of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov in its turn demanded to send him to hospital; however, the court dismissed the motion. The arrest of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov was extended until August 28.

Roza Magomedova, an advocate of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov, has decided to appeal against the arrest of her client.

According to the advocate, the court failed to take into account the health state of her client. "An ambulance was called for Tamerlan Eskerkhanov directly to the court building. He was bleeding. He is in urgent need of medical care," Roza Magomedova has stated.

The appeal against the decision of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow to extend the arrest of Tamerlan Eskerkhanov will be considered by the Moscow City Court.
