Ingush woman sentenced for involvement in armed underground
The court has sentenced Khadishat Albakova, a resident of Ingushetia, to three years of imprisonment on charges of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF).
According to investigators, since July 2013, being the wife of the leader of the IAF acting in the territory of the Sunzha District of Ingushetia, 19-year-old Khadishat Albakova was a member of the IAF, the press service of the Investigating Department for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports.
It should be noted that on February 9, Magomed Mutsolgov, the Chief of the human rights organization "MASHR", the head of the Ingush Public Monitoring Commission (PMC), appealed to the Ingush Prosecutor with a request to verify information on torture used against Ingush resident Khadishat Albakova and other violations of her rights. The rights defender has also mentioned the threats he received because of the publication of the appeal written by a Khadishat Albakova's sister.
