Two defendants in BORN case sentenced to life imprisonment

The Moscow Regional Court has sentenced three members of the "Combat Organization of Russian Nationalists" (known as BORN) to various terms of imprisonment: from 24 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony to life imprisonment.

On Tuesday, the Moscow Regional Court has announced the verdict in the case against the BORN. Maxim Baklagin, Vyacheslav Isaev, and Mikhail Volkov were found guilty of all charges filed against them. Yuri Tikhomirov was acquitted.

Maxim Baklagin and Vyacheslav Isaev were sentenced to life imprisonment.

Mikhail Volkov was sentenced by the Court to 24 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Yuri Tikhomirov has been acquitted; however, he remains in the penal colony to serve his sentenced earlier announced by the Lublino Court of Moscow for the murder of antifascist Ilya Djaparidze.

According to Judge Alexander Kozlov, the Court has taken into account mitigating circumstances and leniency for some episodes of the crimes mentioned in the jury's verdict.

Let us remind you that on March 31, the jury announced a guilty verdict against three defendants. On April 14, prosecutors demanded to sentence Maxim Baklagin and Vyacheslav Isaev to life imprisonment and Mikhail Volkov to 25 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony.
