In Makhachkala, public employees claim being forced to participate in voluntary works
In Makhachkala, employees of public sector have written an open letter to the City Mayor. In their letter, they have complained about being forced to take part in the works on improvement of the city, although it is the responsibility of municipal services, receiving money from the budget for those purposes.
All departments and municipal budgetary institutions of Makhachkala have received a letter signed by Magomed Suleimanov, the acting head of the city administration, calling "to complete works in the surrounding areas" on April 11, 18, and 25. Such an initiative has caused discontent of public sector employees.
In social networks, they actively discuss the initiative of the city authorities to organize mass voluntary works. In the group of "Dagestan online" on Facebook, user Alterna Plus has posted an open letter to Magomed Suleimanov, the acting City Mayor. The letter states that it is a violation of the rights of believers to force city residents to go to voluntary works on the eve of Easter, which is celebrated on April 11-12.
In the group of "Dagestan Post" on Facebook, readers note that since the beginning of the year, about a dozen of subbotniks have already been held in Makhachkala. The readers also criticize urban services not engaged in cleaning.
