In case of murder in Pugachov, defendants sentenced to 3.5-14 years of imprisonment

Three residents of Chechnya have been found guilty of involvement in the murder of Ruslan Marzhanov, a resident of the town of Pugachov of the Saratov Region.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 6, 2013, in Pugachov, Ruslan Marzhanov, a 20-year-old paratrooper, was killed in a fight. A 16-year-old teenager from Chechnya and his brothers Ruslan Khaidaev, Khizir and Khamzat Nazirov were accused of the murder of Ruslan Marzhanov.

The Saratov Regional Court has ruled that the trial had proven the defendants' guilt in the case of the murder of hooliganism, attempted murder, involving a minor in the commission of a crime and concealment of a crime, the "RAPSI" (Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information) reports.

Ruslan Khaidaev was sentenced to the longest term of imprisonment 14 years. According to investigators, it was he who gave his brother a medical scalpel before the fight, and later, the teenager used it to repeatedly stab Ruslan Marzhanov. The Nazirov brothers are sentenced to 4 and 3.5 years of imprisonment, respectively.

The court has also ruled to fine Ruslan Khaidaev one million roubles, and each of the Nazirov brothers 100,000 roubles as compensation to victims, the "Kommersant" reports.

Let us remind you that after the Ruslan Marzhanov's murder, people start holding in the city spontaneous protests demanding the deportation of natives of Chechnya.
