Court receives complaint about non-admission of advocate to Zaur Dadaev
The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has received a complaint against non-admission of advocate to Zaur Dadaev, a native of Chechnya, involved in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that investigators treat Zaur Dadaev as a direct perpetrator of the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov committed on February 27 in Moscow. Like four other defendants in the case, Zaur Dadaev pleads not guilty. On April 8, Shamsudin Tsakaev, a defender of Zaur Dadaev, stated that the investigators do not allow him to start defending his client, so he filed a complaint to the court.
The fact that the complaint of Shamsudin Tsakaev was received by the Basmanny District Court of Moscow was reported by Anna Fadeeva, the press secretary of the Basmanny District Court.
In his turn, Shamsudin Tsakaev has reported that the complaint will be considered by Judge Natalya Dudar.
Shamsudin Tsakaev has noted that he had already faced difficulties earlier, when, at the stage of investigation, he was involved in the defence of Yusup Temerkhanov, a native of Chechnya, who was later sentenced for the murder of Colonel Yuri Budanov, and when he represented interests of one of the defendants in the case of the murder of Chechen poet Ruslan Akhtakhanov.
According to Valentin Varkentin, a colleague of Shamsudin Tsakaev, non-admission of an advocate to the case, even high-profile and resonant one, is always a direct violation of the law.
