Yakub Khashagulgov taken into custody for one month

The Court has announced the decision to take into custody until May 10 Yakub Khashagulgov, a resident of Ingushetia, detained after the acquittal on charges of aiding and abetting militants.

On April 8, Yakub Khashagulgov was detained at the border of North Ossetia and Ingushetia. He was returning together with his friend from Rostov-on-Don, where on April 6, the military court found him not guilty of aiding and abetting militants form the grouping "Vilayat of Galgaiche". His detention is connected with the fact that Yakub Khashagulgov is charged with fraud.

According to investigators, the violations were detected in the Malgobek District of Ingushetia, where Yakub Khashagulgov was engaged in construction of houses, Idris Abadiev, the Chairman of the movement "Mekhk-Khel", reports.

The advocate has stated that Yakub Khashagulgov was one of 22 contractors, who were involved in the construction of the village for residents affected by the landslide in the Malgobek District.

Yakub Khashagulgov is a younger brother of Sultan-Girey Khashagulgov, the former Deputy Minister of Construction of Ingushetia, and a member of the "Mekhk-Khel", who was killed by power agents and in whose house, according to the investigators, lists of judges of the Supreme Court of North Ossetia and law enforcement officials were found. Besides, Yakub Khashagulgov is also a brother of Issa Khashagulgov, who was sentenced to life imprisonment in the case of the terror act committed on September 9, 2010, in Vladikavkaz.
