Member of "Pre-Parliament" stabbed during rally in Gyumri

During an anti-government rally in Gyumri, unidentified man has struck with a knife and wounded Grachya Mirzoyan, a member of the public initiative "Pre-Parliament".

On March 28, the rally organized by the "Pre-Parliament" under the slogan "The 100th anniversary of the genocide without regime" took place in Gyumri and called for a coup d'etat in Armenia.

At the rally, Garegin Chugaszyan, a member of the "Pre-Parliament", has stated that the actions of the Armenian authorities "devastated the country," and as a result, the population of the country is constantly decreasing. According to Garegin Chugaszyan, the opposition should move from words to specific actions aimed at overthrowing the current government, the "Tert.am" reports.

During the rally, a group of young people tried to prevent it by whistles and disputes with the protesters. Policemen on duty at the rally did not react to the actions of those people till the moment, when they started to throw eggs at the protesters. The protesters tried to chase those young people; however, at that moment, an unidentified man stabbed Grachya Mirzoyan, the "Echo of the Caucasus" reports.

At the medical centre in Gyumri, Grachya Mirzoyan was diagnosed with internal bleeding, and doctors had to remove his spleen. Grachya Mirzoyan remains at the rehabilitation ward, and the state of the oppositionist is satisfactory, the "Epress.am" reports today.
