Court extends detention of Rashid Isaev

The Kizilyurt City Court has postponed the decision on the freedom restriction measure of local resident Rashid Isaev, accused of arms circulation, and extended his detention by 72 hours, said his wife.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 22 the house, where Isaev lives with his wife and two children, was searched by power agents. Rashid's sister asserts that during the search agents planted some firearms into the house, and then detained Isaev. His relatives also reported that an advocate was not admitted to him; on March 23, Isaev was transferred to the SIZO (pre-trial prison).

At the court session, held in Kizilyurt, the prosecutor asked the court to extend Isaev's by 72 hours, because investigators had failed by them to receive some characterizing materials and medical reports, said the detainee's wife Umleyla Magomedova.

She noted that the measure of her husband's freedom restraint would be elected on March 27 and said that the advocate had been allowed to see him.

Let us note that on March 23, Umleyla Magomedova was also taken to the police department. She was released on the same day, but refused to disclose the circumstances of her detention.
