On April 1, MCC to consider complaint about arrest of defendants in case of Boris Nemtsov's murder

On April 1, the Moscow City Court (MCC) will consider appeals filed about the decision to arrest five defendants in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 8, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested all five defendants in the case of the Boris Nemtsov's murder, namely: Zaur Dadaev, Anzor Gubashev, Khamzat Bakhaev, Shagid Gubashev, and Tamerlan Eskerkhanov. The defendants plead not guilty and do not agree with the chosen pre-trial restriction measure.

The complaints about the arrest of the defendants in the case were filed to the Basmanny District Court. After their examination, the Court appointed the date for consideration of the complaints filed by all five defendants.

Opposition politician Boris Nemtsov was killed in the centre of Moscow on February 27. On March 10, three men arrested in the case of Boris Nemtsov's murder Zaur Dadaev, Anzor and Shagid Gubashev complained to members of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) about being tortured by law enforcers.
