In North Ossetia, resident of Redant returns land plot to cemetery

A resident of the settlement of Redant in North Ossetia, who had claimed his ownership over a land plot in the territory of an Ingush cemetery, has returned it. After the interference of the Ministry for Foreign Relations, National Policy, Press and Information of the Republic of Ingushetia, the fence was restored in the same place.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 19 the above resident dismantled the fence enclosing the family cemetery of several Ingush clans, claiming his right to the land plot of 350 square meters. Some local residents protested against it and notified the above Ministry.

On March 22, the fence was restored; and the cemetery got back its 350 square meters of land, said Ruslan Lyanov, a resident of Redant.

"This case has received considerable resonance in social networks and on various websites. In order to avoid conflict escalation, on the same day, when the fence was removed, we went to the settlement," said Ruslan Khautiev, the above Minister.

According to his story, the resident of Redant really has documents on his ownership of the above land plot, which re received in Vladikavkaz. However, learning that the Ingush party also has the same documents, he restored the fence in its initial place.

Now, the administration of the settlement of Balta, which incorporates Redant, checks to find out why the documents on the ownership of the same plot of land had been issued twice.
