Leader of militant grouping identified among those killed in special operation in Makhachkala
Investigators have pre-identified six out of seven casualties of the special operation held on March 21 in Makhachkala. Islam Magomedov, an alleged leader of the local militant grouping was identified among them.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the March 21 CTO in Makhachkala, a five-storey building was blocked. During the fight, four men and three women were killed; and one law enforcer was wounded. Murad Musaev, a suspect of shelling an employee of the Centre for Combating Extremism on March 19, was also pre-identified.
According to investigators, apart from Musaev, Rustam Mugutdinov, 21, a resident of the settlement of Semender, was killed in the special operation; in December 2014, he joined the "Makhachkala" grouping of militants and participated in the attack on a law enforcer on March 19. The third casualty was identified as Islam Magomedov, 23, who, according to power agents, headed the "Makhachkala" grouping. Magomedov was appointed to be the leader by Arsanali Kambulatov, known as the "Amir of the Makhachkala sector", law enforcers report.
The killed women are also identified, as Mugutdinov's wife – a 26-year-old Makka Guseinova, Karina Dadaeva of the same age, and Aziza Magomedova, 22, the "Kommersant" writes.
The murdered girl named Aziza could be pregnant at the time of death, but so far this has not been confirmed, reports one of the websites of supporters of the armed underground of Dagestan.
