Four men and three women killed in special operation in Makhachkala

According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), in the course of a special operation conducted in Makhachkala, seven militants were killed, including four men and three women; one SOBR (analogue of Special Weapons Assault Team – SWAT) fighter was wounded.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today in the morning a special operation was started in Makhachkala, during which a group of alleged members of the armed underground was blocked in a residential house. According to a law enforcement source, a child was evacuated from the venue.

According to the NAC's latest data, seven militants were killed, and a SOBR fighter was wounded.

"As a result of detailed examination of the places of armed clashes in the five-storey residential building, seven neutralized bandits were found," the RIA "Novosti" quotes the NAC's Information Centre.

One of the apartments housed the bodies of a woman and a man; the other one – the bodies of three men and two young women, the "Interfax" reports.

A source from the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has added that one of those killed has been pre-identified as Murad Musaev; others are still being identified.
