High-speed "Lastochka" starts running from Krasnodar to "Roza Khutor" Resort
A high-speed train "Lastochka" (Swallow) is now servicing the route Krasnodar – "Roza Khutor" Ski Resort in Sochi. The first run has brought over 200 tourists to the resort today.
Then, tourists were brought by free shuttle buses to the resort hotels, including the hotel complexes located in the Mountain Olympic Village, the TASS reports with reference to the press service of the "Roza Khutor".
The new way of delivering tourists to ski slopes by a direct route from Krasnodar has aroused great interest among alpine skiers. If it becomes popular, next season, tourist trains can be out on other routes, said the press service.
The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in March the "Roza Khutor" Resort announced its intention to double its capacity by 2017 – up to 20,000 people per day. This year, during the New Year holidays, the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory were forced to restrict the flow of tourists to ski resorts.
