In Dagestan, teenager sentenced for extremism and arms trafficking
In Dagestan, the court has sentenced a 16-year-old resident of the village of Vitsyatli of the Tsuntin District to two years of conditional imprisonment. The teenager was found guilty of posting on the Internet texts of extremist content and arms trafficking.
The court has found out that starting from 2012 till October 2014, the teenager posted on his page on a social network the texts that contained calls for extremist activities and incited hatred on ethnic grounds. Besides, the court has also revealed that in June 2014, the teenager illegally purchased a Makarov pistol and 40 cartridges for it and then illegally kept them at home. This was reported by the website of the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office on March 19.
The Tlyaratin District Court of Dagestan has found the teenager guilty of inciting hatred or enmity (Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), public calls for extremist activities (Part 1 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code), and illicit trafficking in firearms and ammunition (Part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the Dagestani Prosecutor's Office.
According to the report, the convicted teenager has been put on probation for two years.
