Body of Russian soldier, who perished in Gyumri, bears no signs of violence
Experts have detected no signs of violence on the body of Arthur Afyan, a soldier of the 102nd Russian military base in Gyumri, who was found hanged. This was reported by the Prosecutor of the Shirak Region.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that 26-year-old Arthur Afyan disappeared on February 21. Being a contract soldier of the Russian special service, the Armenian citizen has not returned to the border detachment after his day off. On March 8, the Prosecutor of the Shirak Region reported that the body of Arthur Afyan was found hanged in the yard of one of the shops in Gyumri.
The forensic examination is to be carried out in the nearest future, the "News.am" reports.
Let us remind you that at night on January 12, in Gyumri, six members of the Avetisyan family were assassinated. The only survivor of the attack – the six-month-old Sergey Avetisyan – was hospitalized in critical condition and on January 19, he died. A Russian regular soldier Valery Permyakov was arrested as a suspect of committing the massacre. According to investigators, he committed the murder while trying to escape from the military base, and he was detained at the border with Turkey.
