Two Caucasian residents detained within Nemtsov's murder case
Two residents of the Caucasus, Anzor Kubashev and Zaur Dadaev, have been detained under the murder case of the politician Boris Nemtsov, said Alexander Bortnikov, the head of the Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Boris Nemtsov, a native of Sochi, was killed late in the evening on February 27 near the walls of the Moscow Kremlin. Investigators put forward a number of versions of the murder, including the Islamic-extremist trace; however, the experts, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot", treated this version as unlikely. Investigators also consider the version that the murder of Nemtsov could be organized by the fighters of the battalion named after Dudaev, who support the Ukrainian authorities, said a law enforcement source.
According to Alexander Bortnikov, the two suspects of killing Boris Nemtsov were detained today.
The head of the FSB did not disclose the particular region of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), from where the detainees came. So far, there are no comments of Anzor Kubashev and Zaur Dadaev on the statements of the FSB head.
