ICRF finds Nemtsov's murder possible because of Charlie Hebdo
As stated by the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the investigators, who run the inquiry into Boris Nemtsov's murder, consider an Islamic-extremist trace as a version of the crime. The investigators suggest that the reason for the murder could be in Nemtsov's position with respect to the execution of the staff of the magazine Charlie Hebdo.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Russian politician Boris Nemtsov, who was born in Sochi, was gunned down yesterday's night in central Moscow. Nemtsov was one of the most prominent oppositional politicians of Russia; and he regularly sharply criticized the actions of the Chechen leadership and the Moscow's policy in Northern Caucasus.
According to the ICRF, the murder of Nemtsov had been "was carefully planned."
"Investigators have information that Nemtsov had received threats in connection with his position with respect to the execution of journalists of Charlie Hebdo in Paris," says the website of the ICRF.
Shortly before the murder, the oppositionist received death threats on social networks, said Vadim Prokhorov, the advocate of the Nemtsov family.
"The tragedy of the murder of 12 journalists of the Charlie Hebdo magazine has shocked all normal people. I express my condolences to families of the assassinated innocent journalists. When the Council of Muftis of Russia treats the activities of the journalists of the edition as provocation and sin, it justifies the terrorists," Nemtsov wrote in his page on the Facebook after the attack on the editorial office of Charlie Hebdo.
