In Dagestan, relatives of Adalo Iskhakov complain about his kidnapping
Relatives of Adalo Iskhakov, a resident of the village of Balakhani of the Untsukul District, have reported on his kidnapping.
The whereabouts of Adalo Iskhakov cannot be revealed for ten days already. This was reported by Gadjimagomed Iskhakov, a brother of the kidnapped man.
According to him, on February 16, 25-year-old Adalo Ishakov was kidnapped by unidentified persons in masks on Shamil Avenue in Makhachkala. Gadjimagomed Iskhakov has also reported that Adalo Ishakov lives in the village of Balakhani of the Untsukul District and that he arrived in Makhachkala for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, according to Gadjimagomed Iskhakov, one of the Balakhani residents claims he saw Adalo Ishakov inside the building of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
On February 17, the family members of Adalo Ishakov filed to the Makhachkala City Prosecutor's Office a complaint about the kidnapping of their relative.
On February 25, Gadjimagomed Iskhakov also requested assistance from the committee "Civil Assistance" led by human rights defender Svetlana Gannushkina, a member of the board of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".
Officials from the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan have confirmed that the relatives of Adalo Ishakov filed a complaint about his kidnapping. According to an official from the Prosecutor's Office, the investigation is underway.
