Militants killed in Dagestan were members of Kizilyurt criminal grouping

Three militants shot dead during the special operation in Dagestan were members of the Kizilyurt terrorist grouping. This was reported by a source in the law enforcement bodies.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this morning, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime was introduced in four villages of the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan after power agents had discovered a dugout between the villages of Nechaevka and Chontaul, where militants might be hiding. According to the preliminary information, after the assault of the dugout, three members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were shot and killed.

"One of them has been preliminary identified as Oleg Shalyapin involved in the murder of retired Police Colonel Aitemir Salimgereev in July 2014," the "Interfax" quotes an official from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

According to the law enforcer, three-five militants may be hiding in the forest. The special operation is underway.

Let us remind you that on July 9, Colonel Aitemir Salimgereev from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) was killed in one of the suburban communities of Kizilyurt. According to the Dagestani MIA, four men broke into the house of the former chief of the Kizilyurt GOVD (City Interior Department). The attackers tied his son, stabbed the Colonel and beheaded him and then left. According to the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), the man was tortured before his death. The armed underground took over the responsibility for the murder.
