Russia's MfE brings humanitarian aid to Donbas residents
A motor convoy of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), consisting of 30 trucks, has brought more than 200 tons of humanitarian aid to Lugansk and Donetsk.
According to Oleg Voronov, the Deputy Head of the National Crisis Management Centre of the MfE, the aid comprises mainly foodstuffs, including baby food. It will be sent to the cities, which feel deficit of food and basic necessities.
"There were no abnormal situations en route; and after unloading the motor column will go back," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Oleg Voronov as saying.
According to the Border Guard Service of the Russian FSB for the Rostov Region, Ukrainian border guards did not take part in the border control of the MfE's motorcade.
"They didn't come without explanations," the TASS quotes Pavel Belov, the spokesman of the MfE.
The MfE adds that all the customs and border procedures were monitored, as usual, by representatives of the OSCE mission.
