Court stops prosecuting lawyer Murad Musaev
The criminal case against the lawyer Murad Musaev, who was accused of bribing witnesses in the murder case of the former Colonel Yuri Budanov, was stopped due to the lapse of time, said the press secretary of the Preobrazhensky Court of Moscow.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in November 2013 Murad Musaev became a figurant of the case of bribing witnesses, as well as of interfering in the activities of the court. According to investigators, in January 2013 Musaev bribed, together with others persons, two witnesses in the Budanov's murder case, to force them to give false testimonies at the trial. Besides, according to investigators, from the end of 2012 to early 2013 Musaev interfere in the activities of the jury.
Today, it became known that the Preobrazhensky Court of Moscow stopped the prosecution of Musaev.
"The criminal case was stopped because of expiry of time for criminal responsibility," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Alexandra Savelieva, the press secretary of the court.
