Grozny residents report detentions of young men with beards in public transport
On February 12, in Grozny, employees of law enforcement bodies detained and took to some unknown place three young men with beards and shaved-off moustaches. Eyewitnesses reported that the young men were taken away from a regular bus.
The "Caucasian Knot" reported a detention on January 27 by power agents of two young men with beards, which became known from their acquaintance. According to his story, the guys were beaten up; their beards were shaved off by force; then, they were released. A similar detention by power agents of young men with beards and without moustaches took place on February 11 in the marketplace in central Grozny. It was reported by city residents and rights defenders, who later reported that by February 12 all the detainees were released.
According to local residents, such detentions also occurred on February 12.
Let us note here that the eyewitnesses of the detentions in the marketplace on February 12 associated the actions of power agents with the incident on February 9 in the village of Tsentoroy, where the symbols of the "Islamic State" appeared on the wall of one of the building. After that, three young men were detained in the village.
