NKR's MoD accuses Azerbaijan of 2200 facts of shelling within a week

In the period from January 25 to January 31, in the troops contact line in the area of the Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire regime for about 2200 times, reported the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).

According to the NKR's MoD, during this period, Azerbaijani troops fired at the Karabakh positions "more than 40,000 rounds of various types of small firearms, a grenade launcher and a mortar."

The Azerbaijani party also made "several subversive attempts", the NKR's MoD asserts. "In the course of response actions of the Karabakh army, three Azerbaijani soldiers were killed. While retreating, they left three dead and wounded persons," said the press-service of the MoD.

Also, the NKR's MoD denied the information about an Armenian drone downed near the city of Agdam. "The NKR's MoD has established that Azerbaijani militaries shot down their own drone," said the MoD.

On January 26, the Azerbaijani MoD admitted that three Azerbaijani soldiers were killed in the conflict zone.
