Large hideout with ammunition found in Chechnya

A hideout with grenades and ammunition was found in Grozny in the village of Solyonaya Balka. According to power agents, the hideout belonged to Aslan Aliskhanov, who was killed on October 18.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Aslan Aliskhanov was killed in Grozny on October 18. Chechen authorities believe that he was the organizer of the suicide bombing committed on October 5 in Grozny, which killed five employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). According to the MIA, Aliskhanov was killed while trying to resist; and an improvised explosive device (IED) was found on him. Grozny residents do not support the official version about the circumstances of his death.

The ammunition that belonged to Aliskhanov according to the police was found in the yard of a non-residential structure in Solyonaya Balka. The hideout looked like a bag hidden under logs; the bag contained three hand grenades and about a thousand rounds of different-calibre ammunition, the website of the Chechen MIA has reported today.
