In Dagestan, local residents report on deployment of soldiers in Vremenny

In Dagestan, in the settlement of Vremenny of the Untsukul District, law enforcers make arrangements to deploy soldiers in the administrative buildings. The situation in the village is calm. However, people still cannot return to their houses, and the law enforcers carry out targeted checks in the village of Gimry, local residents report.

The counterterrorist operation (CTO) in Vremenny adjacent to the village of Gimry was started on September 18. According to the unconfirmed reports, the law enforcers are searching for Magomed Suleimanov, the kadi of "Dagestan Vilayat", the Amir "Mountain Sector of Dagestan Vilayat".

According to Patimat M., a resident of Vremenny, the law enforcers are building three checkpoints on the outskirts of the village.

Another villager has told the "Caucasian Knot" that they receive information about the events in the village from workers of a Hydro Power Plant (HPP).

The villager has suggested that after the law enforcers complete construction of the checkpoints at the entry to Vremenny, the local residents will have to pass through them to enter the settlement.

A staff member of the Gimry village administration has explained that the barbed wire is used to fence the territory of the former mounting department No. 3 of the Irganai HPP. According to his story, the military men plan to use the HPP. He has explained that the village was built in 1970-80s during the construction of the Irganai HPP.

At present, Vremenny consists of 213 households; and about 900 people live there.
