A local resident, who preferred to remain anonymous, has reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that today, at about 8:00 a.m., armed policemen began to arrive in the village of Sogratl located in the Gunib District of Dagestan. The law enforcers have cordoned off the village and demanded that all villagers should leave their house and stand in line. Then, according to the local resident, the law enforcers began to conduct searches.

"The policemen acted tough. They literally broke into the houses and pulled the local residents out. They refused to present their IDs. They showed no search warrants, and they drew no protocols on searches and left no documents," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the local source.

The local resident associates the police raid with the recent shelling of three policemen that occurred in the Gunib District on May 15.
