Source: five people killed in special operation in Makhachkala

On April 15, five persons were killed by law enforcers during a special operation in Makhachkala township of Stepnoy; three of them have been preliminarily identified, said a Dagestani law enforcement source.

In the morning, law enforcers blocked two houses in the horticultural society "Palmira", located in the outskirt of Makhachkala. According to law enforcement sources, in one of the houses, a supposed militants' helper committed suicide; and members of the armed underground hid in the other one. After three children were let out of one of the houses, a shootout began.

In the course of negotiations with the blocked people, power agents managed to preliminarily identity three of them, namely: Rizvan Aliev, 24, a former student of the Physics Department of the Dagestani State University, and his cousins Shakhrudin Suleimanov, 26, and Rustam Suleimanov, 33 – all members of the "Makhachkala" grouping, the "LifeNews" reports with reference to a Dagestani law enforcement official.
