Policemen disperse action in support of Said Amirov and detain people (+video)

As reported by the spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan, the police have persuaded supporters of the suspended Mayor of Makhachkala Said Amirov to disperse.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that in the morning on Saturday, April 12, Amirov's supporters began an unsanctioned action and blocked Imam Shamil Avenue. Makhachkala policemen managed to squeeze protesters out of the roadway, which was accompanied by a scuffle.

As a result, the police dispersed the crowd and detained several protesters. According to the MIA of Dagestan, no violent methods were used by law enforcers.

According to various sources, the action was from 500 to 2000 strong.

Let us remind you that Said Amirov figures in two criminal cases: on preparation of a terror act and on the murder of investigator Arsen Gadjibekov. He treats both of them as fabricated.
