Federal Highway "Kavkaz" in North Ossetia blocked by detainees' relatives

Up to 400 people formed a "live shield" and blocked the Federal Highway "Kavkaz" in North Ossetia in protest against detention of "Mayskoe" villagers and demand their release, one of the participants of the spontaneous action told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Let us remind you that on April 10 relatives of Aliskhan Gurazhev and Mustafa Barkinkhoev blocked the Federal Highway "Kavkaz", demanding to release the detainees. According to one of the relatives, the protest was up to 100 people strong. After the received promises about the meeting with the Interior Minister of North Ossetia Arthur Akhmetkhanov, the highway was unblocked.

According to unofficial data, power agents dispersed the protesters near the village of Novy on the North-Ossetian-Ingush border. Six special trucks picked up the protesters and took them to the police, the "15th Region" reports.

Let us note here that, according to the protesters, the decision to block the road again was made after the fruitless meeting with police officials.
