On Friday, in Volgograd, in front of the Central Bank, a protest action was held against insufficient funding in kindergartens, organized by the public movement "Volgograd Parents for Children's Rights".
The action was coordinated with the authorities; and the notification about the event specified the expected number of participants – 30 people, the activist Olga Cheburakova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
The participants held posters reading: "Children are top priority!", "Children need decent kindergartens, schools and hospitals, not endless officials' promises!" and others.
They collected signatures to the demand of full funding of kindergartens and providing them with educational materials. In total, 50 signatures were collected. The action passed without incidents. They plan to hold similar actions on April 12 and 13.
