The militants, who in November 2013 attempted on the life of madrassa teacher Arslanali Shakhbulatov, known for his criticism of Wahhabism, have been identified, said a law enforcement source. They were killed during a special operation in January.
Let us remind you that on November 25, 2013, in the village of Karlanyurt, Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, the car of the above madrassa teacher was shelled. Shakhbulatov with a wound in his leg was taken to hospital. The teacher is known that in his Friday sermons in mosques of Khasavyurt he condemned Wahhabism; therefore, the basic version of the attack was associated with his religious activities.
"In the course of operative actions, it was established that the crime was committed by Marat Idrisov and Arsen Hangereev, born in 1982 and 1986, accordingly," the "Interfax" quotes its source from law enforcement bodies.
Investigators believe that Idrisov was the organizer of the terror act in Pyatigorsk in December 2013. They were members of the "Khasavyurt" terrorist grouping, the ICRF has reported.
