Georgia protests against TV Bridge with Russia

On March 28, in Tbilisi, about 100 people took part in the action held in front of the house, where the press-centre of the RIA "Novosti" is located, under the slogan "Putin, don't touch me!" The action was aimed to disrupt the TV Bridge Tbilisi-Moscow.

Despite the activeness and efforts of the protesters, they could not enter the building and prevent the TV Bridge. There were no incidents and clashes.

The protesters chanted slogans and sang the anthem of Georgia, while a group of football fans, who have been recently actively involved in protests against Russia's policies, sang ditties with expletives addressed to Vladimir Putin.

"I came here with my friends to express our civic stand. We are against those who want to join the Eurasian Union, and those who want to join the Russian Federation," a 19-year-old student named Guram told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Let us note here that Georgia did not recognize the referendum in the Crimea, after which the autonomy was announced a Russia's subject. By June 2014, Georgia intends to sign an association agreement with the European Union, which is now considering the introduction of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation.
